Alice meets the Cheshire Cat again, who offers comfort, and later encounters the Mock Turtle and the Gryphon, who explain their peculiar education and perform the Lobster Quadrille dance. The chapter ends with the announcement of a trial, leading Alice to a courtroom where the King and Queen of Hearts preside over a case involving stolen tarts.
